About us

The Haddon Way Residents Association welcomes all the residents living in the local area to meet on a monthly basis to try and make our area a better place for all. We welcome all who live in our area be it in rented property or a property that you own. We are the community which live here and we know our area and our needs the most.

Since our inception in 2006 we have been holding our regular monthly meetings in the studio of Outwoods Edge Primary School at 7pm, on the second Wednesday of each month. (For the minutes of the meetings please see Meeting Minutes)  We welcome residents coming in at any point through out the meeting, with the meetings generally lasting for 90 minutes, finishing about 8.30pm.

We have a committee that currently has 4 officers:
Chair - Andy Nevill
Treasurer - Paul Gadd
Web and Minute Master - Bob Newnham
Community Facilitator - Ellie Griffin

The position of Secretary is currently vacant! Let us know if you can help us!

We are a friendly bunch of people who get together to discuss issues affecting our community eg. The Old Farmhouse on Newstead Way, Speeding, Litter and the prospect of a Community Centre on the Grange Park Development.

To help give an informed view of these issues we regularly invite visitors to our meetings such as:
Brian Hayes - The previous now ex Cheif Executive of Charnwood Borough Council
Peter Blitz - Senior Planning Officer at Charnwood Borough Council
Adrian McInnes - Technical Director of William Davis
Neil Greenhalgh - Head of Environmental Services at CBC

We also have regular visits from our local Police Constable Anna Lynn and our PCSO officers, Michelle Wright and Lee Rocket, our Local counsellors Neville Stork and Robert Sharp and our County Counsellor David Slater (who is currently leader of CBC)

We aim to foster a sense of community while building and maintaining relationships with Charnwood Borough Council and local/county counsellors.
