In early 2011 we worked closely with our beat officer PC 4430 Anna Lynn and local councillors to improve the Farmhouse site, to make it more secure and try to reduce trouble at the site. Recently there has been a lot of actitivty at the site.

We can confirm that the developer was given permission to move the slate tiles and replace the roof with tarpaulin. The developer applied for this permission back in 2009. Christmas 2011 saw planning granted and work carried out between Christmas and new year. Helen Robinson is a Planning & Regeneration Officer at CBC and has been following the site and working with the developers to improve the site.

The owners have also confirmed they will be carrying out further works to take down the chimneys and store the bricks in the courtyard. They have also confirmed that fencing has been erected around the premises as well as Heras fencing and notices to try to prevent trespass and they have sent me photos of it all.

The developer hopes to have a NEW planning application submitted in the next 3-4 weeks with proposals for re-development. We have no details on this currently. As soon as we do we will let you know.
