As a reminder of what to do should you need to contact the police. Dial 999 if the incident is happening "NOW" 0116 222 2222 if the incident has already happened 0116 222 2222 Collar no. 4430 for PC Lynn's voice mail or Collar no. 6204 (PCSO Michelle Wright) to pass on information. PC Nathaniel Lockley would like to make us aware of an increase of SAT NAV thefts from insecure cars in the area. Basically it appears that this is happening in the evening and appears to be from vehicles that aren't locked. The simple advice and a term that is used (excuse the pun) "LEAVE IT ON SHOW EXPECT IT TO GO"! He would like to remind us that there have been incidents of theft of catalytic convertors from motor vehicles. While this hasnt happened in the HWRA area we wish to make the public aware of being vigilant of anyone suspicious hanging around motor vehicles. Also when its warmer weather (the British Summer!) if people go out, or are at work, could they make sure that they close windows and doors to stop any opportunist thieves that may be around. Again there are no reports of crimes like this in our area but prevention is better than a sad household.
