On 25th January your local beat team and Charnwood Borough Council’s Community Safety Team are hosting a community event at Outwoods Edge Primary School, 12.30 – 3.30pm. It will be an opportunity for residents to speak to their local officers, pick up community safety tips and tools along with activities and games for children.
Within the Haddon Way estate, since April 2013, there have been 90 incidents of vehicle crime. 75.5% of these incidents were thefts from vehicles which were left insecure (doors unlocked) on roads and driveways. Charnwood’s Community Safety Partnership is a local multi-agency partnership working together to tackle crime and disorder. The partnership are regularly developing new initiatives as well as delivering preventative work in order to tackle and reduce further offending across Charnwood.
As a result of these incidents; increased Police patrols are also now taking place throughout the day and night across the estate in order to disrupt any further offending.
